Video Test

This is a test of adding videos to the web site. Let me know if it works or not.

In any case we drove up next to several white rhinos and filmed one. This rhino was as close as it looks. No zoom was used on the camera.

  1. They wouldn’t come in on my iPad, but fine on the laptop. I don’t think you would want to be cornered by that one! Quite a horn.

    • Now it is coming in on my iPad. Was probably a problem with my network.

Are these a type of rhino with a particularly long horn, or are the horns on zoo rhinos in the US trimmed and blunted? We have a new Eastern Black Rhino baby at the Atlanta zoo, and there is a front page newspaper picture of it and its mother. The mom has two rather stubby horns–nothing like the one in the video. Or is yours an alpha male? (The biologist in me is coming out. I guess I could google it, but it is more fun to just ask you.)

  2. I was able to view the high def version on my iPad. Fantastic! Thank you for allowing us to experience all of this vicariously through you!

  3. Worked in my iPhone – cool! Missed u at book club Anne but looks like you’re having a wonderful adventure! Enjoying pics!
